The Platypus
$87.000
More informationDetailed description
Reliable and silent, propelled by two electric motors, which offer an autonomy of about 6 hours, the Platypus is accessible to all and can be used for surface or submerged navigation, in complete safety. This semi-submarine is in the form of a catamaran (two floats), containing, in its center, a submersible pod connected to each float by articulated electric arms.
Practical and easy to use, the passengers are installed astride the basket, and equipped with a simple diving mask. In surface mode, the Platypus sails at a speed of about 12 knots, and announces in diving mode a speed of 3 to 4 knots. The icing on the cake is that you won’t need tanks or special scuba diving skills to discover the world of silence. Indeed, breathing is ensured thanks to an electric air compressor integrated into the Platypus. Thus, users can breathe in the water without any constraint. This first version (see video below), which is transportable on a trailer, can accommodate two passengers up to 1.50 meters deep
