AK47 Chair

More informationDetailed description
No you do not dream, these are Kalashnikov that you see. Specifically, AK47 rifles that have already served and recycled into somewhat surprising design elements. This incredible and unusual chair is the work of the artist Rainer Weber, a native of Vienna.
A passion for design since childhood, especially seating in all its forms, Rainer Weber wanted to design a totally new piece that would not fail to attract the attention of collectors. Thus was born the AK47 Chair.
It was by reading a book by Michail Kalashnikov that the idea came to him, to design his AK47 Chair composed of 6 AK47 genuine. After having unearthed and disassembled them, he scattered the pieces to form the arms, legs, backrest and other components of this unique seat in the world.
The structure of the AK47 chair and the different elements of the Kalashnikov were entirely chrome-plated before being assembled, for a contemporary rendering. The pistol handles, which are only synthetic, have been kept in their original condition but varnished in black, as are the wood finishes.
Some of the AK 47 Chair’s controls can also be accompanied by a Russian metal helmet, which is also entirely chrome-plated, and the interior is covered with leather. Leather that is also found on the cannons of rifles.
Rest assured, this chair has absolutely nothing dangerous if not its striking pace that would delight the greatest bosses of the Russian mafia and elsewhere. If you are a fan of design chairs, please note that the AK47 Chair can be ordered in different colors and shapes on request.
Each chair is a single piece, numbered for collectors and art lovers.
One series is in chrome, one in gold(22K) design.
The first chair no1 in chrome design is sold.
