Detailed description

Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet has introduced its new women’s watch, the Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon.

Illuminated by a brilliant-cut diamond setting, the 38.5mm white gold case of the Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon reveals part of its mechanism. The heart of the watch also reveals the flying tourbillon and a power reserve indicator on the back.

Visually, the Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon is different from classic women’s watches. With its eight-sided dial and six-sided screws, the watch has a decidedly aggressive look. The barrel is openworked and also has angular sides.

The diamonds set on the dial and bracelet soften the aggressive side of the watch, making it very elegant on a woman’s wrist. In addition, the hand-stitched “large square scale” white alligator strap with 18K white gold folding clasp set with brilliant-cut diamonds gives the timepiece a very distinguished look.

Price-wise, Audemars Piguet offers two versions of the Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon, both in 18K white gold with a 38.5 MM case, but you can choose between the 3.65 carat version with 459 round brilliant-cut diamonds at $203,350 or opt for the version with baguette-cut diamonds at $422,757.
